What We Do
Networking and Community Building
No single organisation lifts a community on its own. Our third registered activity is the work of connecting people who should already know each other: families, centres, local leaders, businesses and volunteers.
Strength that stays behind
A community that knows its own is far harder to fail. Much of what we do is introduction and follow-through: linking a struggling household to a centre that can help, bringing a local business into contact with a need it can meet, and finding the volunteers who live close enough to keep showing up.
We would rather strengthen what already exists than build something parallel to it. The centres, churches, chiefs and self-help groups in Ruiru were there before us and will be there after us, and they carry most of the weight.
