What we can prove, and what we cannot yet
This page has no headline figures on it. That is deliberate, and this explains why.
Why there are no numbers here
Until recently this website carried impact statistics: thousands of lives touched, hundreds of children in school, dozens of communities served. Nobody had counted any of it. It came from a template.
We removed all of it. A figure will appear on this page when somebody has counted it and can show the working, and not before. We would rather look smaller than we are than claim to be larger than we can prove.
What we can evidence today
Registration
Certificate RSC/3811/CBO/2024, County Government of Kiambu, issued 22 February 2024. Verifiable with the county.
Governance
Three named officials, elections every three years, any two signing on the account, an auditor appointed annually.
County reporting
Annual renewal of registration and quarterly statistical returns, both conditions printed on our certificate.
Traceable giving
One paybill and one bank account, both in the foundation's name, both published. No personal numbers.
What we are working towards publishing
- Households and centres supported, counted properly rather than estimated.
- What was delivered and when, so a supporter can trace a gift to a delivery.
- Audited accounts, once an audit has been completed.
- Project journeys, showing work as it happens rather than only once it has succeeded.
