Who we are

Lift A Life Foundation is a Community Based Organisation registered with the County Government of Kiambu, certificate RSC/3811/CBO/2024, based in Ruiru, Kiambu County, Kenya. You can reach us at info@liftalifefoundationkenya.com.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site. The contact form collects your name, email address, subject and message. The volunteer form collects your name, email address, an optional phone number, your area of interest and anything you tell us about yourself. The newsletter form collects your email address.

We do not ask for identity numbers, financial details or any special category information through this website. Please do not send them to us this way.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to arrange volunteering, and to send occasional updates if you asked for them. We do not use your details for anything else.

Where it goes

Submissions are emailed to our own mailbox and stored on our website hosting, in a location that is not publicly accessible. They are not shared with, sold to, or rented to anyone. We do not pass your details to other organisations.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful and reviewed periodically. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you would like your details removed sooner, ask and we will delete them.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to info@liftalifefoundationkenya.com and we will act on it. You do not need to give a reason.

Photographs and stories

Where a story or photograph involves a person, we publish it only with their agreement, and where a child is involved, with the written permission of a parent or guardian obtained beforehand. If you appear on this site and want that changed or removed, tell us and we will do it. You do not need to give a reason.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.

We do use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It places cookies in your browser and sends Google a record of the pages you open, your approximate location (country or city, never your street address), and the kind of device and browser you are using. We read it only in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to find out.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on, and blocking cookies in your browser settings stops it without breaking anything on this site.

Donations

Donations are made directly through M-Pesa or bank transfer. We do not process or store card details on this website. Your bank or M-Pesa handles that, under their own terms.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and stored outside the publicly readable part of the site. No system is perfect; if you believe something has gone wrong, please tell us so we can look into it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
